Cadrex team members mingled with local leaders during a grand opening ceremony for its new facility in Mexico. The 150,000-square-foot building sits adjacent to Cadrex’s other location in an office park in Juarez, part of the Monterrey metropolitan area. This addition gives Cadrex 405,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Mexico, making the combined sites the largest operational location in the company.
Mayor of Juarez Francisco Héctor Treviño Cantú, CLAUT General Director Yoelle Rojas, and other community leaders joined members of the Cadrex Executive Leadership Team for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 20. The mayor thanked Cadrex for putting its trust in their community and credited Cadrex for helping to keep people in the area. He spoke about the community’s growth, referencing a university campus and a new hospital that are expected to open in the near future.

About 800 employees work at the existing Cadrex Monterrey facility, and Cadrex leaders hope to add hundreds of new employees over the next few years in Mexico. The new facility will serve as an extension of the current space, which has sheet metal fabrication, sheet metal stamping, welding, and plastic injection molding capabilities, as well as mechanical assembly and testing. Site leaders plan to set up these processes at the new facility in the next few months based on the needs of upcoming projects. The locations will continue to serve clients primarily in the data center infrastructure; network, compute, & storage; fiber optics; 5G; and semiconductor markets.
